There is a wide array of options when it comes to housing choices for individuals looking to live in The Villages. This planned Florida community has long enjoyed a reputation as one of the best places in the country to live, and they are welcome to residents and visitors alike are offering a huge economic boost to the area due to the support of local business in the daily entertainment options that are hired for each of three town squares.
While most individuals imagine houses, or in some cases perhaps a duplex, there are actually a wide array of different apartment options that are available as well. For some individuals who spent a lot of time traveling throughout their life or simply don’t feel like they need that much space, there are many apartments of varying sizes available throughout this community.
The relatively small apartments for single individuals or for those who still like to travel and therefore just like a little bit of space that works as their “home base” in between travels, there are also larger multi room apartments on the luxury side of things for when you love your space and living the high life but don’t care to have the responsibilities that come with home ownership. There is also everything in between but the most difficult part can be finding an open apartment in the style or design that you want because the demand for housing in this area is actually quite massive.
So what does this mean when you are apartment hunting?
First, it means you should probably get out of your head any notions of finding a very cheap or an expensive option. There are plenty of reasonable deals but because of the sheer amount of demand for housing in the area (and in fact an estimated 1500 houses are being built new every year) dictates that prices are going to be on the average to high side because there are so many people willing to pay them.
This also means that you may have to spend a lot of time looking around for the perfect place, but then jump quickly once it becomes available.
There were also going to be apartments that are specifically built for individuals with disabilities, or seniors of particular needs, but they’re also going to be apartments that are still generally built in don’t have any type of specialty. Make sure to ask any questions up front about special amenities if you are going to need any to live comfortably. Don’t just assume that they are there!
